The Impact of 1!

The first few days here in Kingsland,TX have been eventful and filled with excitement, joy, and fun, but also with grief, sorrow, and tough situations.

Tuesday night I was able to arrive early and surprise the Kizer girls and see the Kirksey family! It was a sweet time of being reunited! They so bless my heart!

Wednesday I jumped in with both feet-got started right away! I spent some time at the church with Shelley just learning the church and where everything is and the daily schedule( did I just say schedule??!! lol... everyday will be different and bring new events and challenges- I love it!!!)Afterwards Shelley,Ann, and I went to lunch. I then was able to spend a few hours in the prayer room here which has become my new favorite place! It had been a great day!

Wednesday afternoon I went with the youth to a memorial for a precious boy who lost his life on Sunday. Although I did not know him, I was very touched by the testimonies and stories of how he impacted so many and how dearly he loved our Jesus! How beautiful to be able to reflect on and rejoice because of the life this precious boy lived! Through the testimony of a teacher that spoke, this boy reminded me of something so very important that I believe we so often look over and forget:

Even if all you do only affects 1 person, if it only changes one persons life.... If all the work, all the prayers, all the love..etc only changes one persons life... It's worth it!!!!

I think so often we want to reach crowds and do the "big" stuff- but it's in the small things that great impact is birthed! Small beginnings bring big endings!! So let's be reminded today that even the small things matter- even if it only impacts one person or changes one persons life- IT'S WORTH IT... So go be that change to that one person that God places in your path today!!! Nothing that you do for the kingdom or in love is too small or insignificant- and you never know if you could be the one person to cross another's path today that could change their life forever... Go be a light!!!!!

Although this boy had the outlook to change one life at a time- he impacted many and I believe that is bc he took the time to invest into each individual and made them all feel loved, accepted, and wanted. I too believe we should do that with those that the Lord crosses our paths with!

So thankful for this reminder through testimonies of the life he lived!

I ask that you all join me in praying for the Buttery family as they grieve the loss of their son! Also pray for the many friends he left behind as well.

The Lord gives and The Lord takes away, blessed be the name of The Lord. Job 1:21
