Harvest School: Sarasota

Hey All,
As most of you know I will be leaving in two shorts weeks for Sarasota,Florida to attend Iris Harvest School of Missions. I will be keeping you all up to date via: My Not So Normal Life Blog as well as my Facebook page.

I will be in Sarasota February 15-April 7.

I will leave a link for you guys to go explore the school page as well as the link to my facebook page.

I will be updating you guys as much as possible while there and just sharing what the Lord is doing and what He is teaching me.

I am ECSTATIC to step into this new chapter of my life! Expecting to get totally wrecked and NEVER be the same again!! NO TURNING BACK!

I would love for you guys to share what the Lord is teaching you and what you are seeing Him do in your life and those around you as I keep you guys up to date. Also, please feel free to send any prayer requests you may have my way- would love to pray for you all.

Life's "Interruptions"

You know those moments in life, where everything seems like it's right on track, headed down the road you've been working so hard to get it on and then all of a sudden something hits you from your blind side. The car breaks down, something in the house goes wrong, you get in a fight, something happens to someone you love, you mess up on a test...you name it...life's bitter interruptions seem to leave us all standing empty handed asking ourselves, "What in the world just happened..." Life never seems to stay on the "perfect" track for very long, if ever. Then, in the midst of all the pressure, your boss asks you to do something against what you believe, your friend isn't who you thought they were, and your church is fighting over what color the carpet should be and you sit there feeling powerless against their relentless blows to your faith. What do you do? Do you stand up for what's right? Do you trust that impulse inside your heart (a.k.a-the Holy Spirit) or is just to uncomfortable...do you just settle for the mediocre, do what they tell you, go along with what they say and ride the fence? Is this really even living though? In a sense, you've found your self trapped inside of a robot body going along with the culture around you blending in with the rest of them...but we weren't made for that... we weren't made to sit on the sidelines and watch the world suffer....we were made to get up and get into the action and stand for Christ...I know it can be uncomfortable, but truth is, a life with Christ begins where our comfort zone ends...so get out there and LIVE!
